Bollywood horror story
I did not watch many Bollywood "horror" movies in the 1970s and 80s however noticed their posters and was intrigued by their names. The one's I watched made me realize they were made with low budgets and shot in abandoned mansions, textile mills etc. There was also a film "Raat Ke Andhere Mein" warning the viewer in advance to not expect much lighting in the film, which could help reduce the budget even further. I found the censor's certification of "Adult" for such movies unfair as they were depriving children of some entertainment they might have enjoyed. These films also had actors who could not get roles in mainstream cinema. Jaspal Bhatti had also made an episode in his flop show series where a film made by the name of "Kabrastan Ka Chowkidar" gets the best comedy award. Such films that had a lot of smoke all around would possibly sound a pollution alarm as per today's standards.
