Reducing your luggage

A wife complained to her husband "After setting out from home for this trip, you have bought so many things that our luggage is double the weight now, are you planning to reduce anything?" Pat came the reply
"Offcourse My Dear, I brought along with me disposable razors for shaving, I discard one every week!"

A Poem for My Sister a teacher for special children

This a poem dedicated to my sister who is a teacher for special children:

To whom life is unkind
children you accept
Ensuring promises
of hope are kept

For children of this world
you ensure they are cared
to face life's challenges
they will be reared

 With kindness and
care make children bloom
Driving away far
the clouds of gloom

Not shedding tears
at the children's plight
at end of the tunnel
showing them light

A "run away" reaction

A professor in a chemical engineering class asked students "What should one do if you see a run away reaction in a chemical plant?" One student promptly answered "Increase the temperature". The profesor replied "Then you will not have time to even run away!"

One hour wasted or saved

A visitor came to a research lab and enquired about their guide to a group of students. A junior student said "Could you come after one hour, you will meet Sir". The visitor went away. A slightly senior student told the junior student "Why did you tell the visitor to come after one hour? Do you know for sure Sir will come in one hour? Otherwise the visitor will waste one hour. To this a senior student replied do not worry "If the visitor does not meet Sir when he comes after one hour he would have wasted one hour but if he met Sir he would waste two hours for sure!"

A Bridge we always had

Mobile Technology Well Before Its Time

Mobile Technology existed in India long before it was adopted elsewhere.  When my sister  went to play down she would come running up when the phone rang in our house. The ring was so loud that it could be heard by her an entire block away.

As the workshop was coming to a close he thought he must introduce himself to this excellent Yoga practioner. He went up nervously to her and introduced himself, " Hello madam I am Ramesh if you don't mind can I touch your feet and take your blessings? I am sorry I was observing you do Yoga during the workshop I am impressed by your dedication". Shocked the lady said "My name is Neelima Thanks but I do not think I have reached a stage when I can bless people like you, you are most probably older than me". Short story inspired by song "Dil Dhoond Ta hai" (In search of a soul)

He clicks on it to find that it takes to a site which has users and their uploaded Videos. Naresh find the video interesting and watches a few more. Then on a regular basis starts following the user's videos with interest. The videos are about the user visiting religious places, gardens etc. Naresh also finds a link for the users profile on a dating site. He finds that the user wants to get married. Naresh is touched by the content on the profile of the user on the video and dating site but does not understand what to do. He comes across a saying "You are never to old to dream a new dream" and decides to help this person get married. Naresh musters courage to join the video site and dating site and starts his search for the person. First he needs to make contact and convince the person of his sincerity. He takes that as one of his missions in life. Naresh Starts putting in comments on the user's video site. Tries to send a one to one message on the video site to no avail. He is able to send messages to the user on the dating site. He get a reply from the user "Are you married? I am in Ambar Vihar". Naresh is happy to get a reply, Ambar Vihar is a residential colony very near his place . He replies honestly "Yes I am married but want to help you" there is answer. Naresh keeps writing regularly without any answer. Naresh  first goes on a discovery of the real name. The video site mentions Sonu in a few places. "Sonu" could be "Sonali", "Sonal" "Sona" "Soni Kumari" Oh that is just the first name and combine it with the last name the permutations and combination could be endless. Naresh starts searching in social networking sites for names starting with these names. One day browsing the dating site Naresh comes across the name of the person as Sonal Sharma. Oh he wonders is this her real name?. Anyway assuming that it is starts the search, searching across Social Networking again for that name. In one of his visits to the video site he discovers a video which is autobiographical. He decides to read the video and put down in a text file the details. The autobiographical video confirms the name as Sonal Sharma. There are name of father and brother also mentioned. Studying the video carefully Naresh notes that Sonal has gone through difficult times in her times. Sonal repeated a class in school but was very good in sports. Sonal's mother died when she was in college. Going through the videos frame by frame Naresh is able to find the registration numbers of the vehicles used by Sonal. He makes is a point to communicate this on the dating site. Naresh developes his profile on the video site as Sonu's fan and is dedicated to her. Naresh however continues to send messages on the dating site hoping one day will get a response. The religious leader of Naresh's community is to visit the town. He feels Sonal should benefit. Using the username on the video site he sends a mail to username@mailsite.com where mailsite.com are different a mail providers. Most of these mails are undelivered. But some do get delivered. There is no response. naresh makes it a point to send regular messages on the dating site, for a message on how he sought blessings for Sonal he get a response "You are a good soul, I need prayers". To this immediately Naresh responds but does not get any reply. On studying one of the videos carefully about Sonal's house he get an idea of the location of the house but promises himself that he will never use that information to go to her house or search for it in Ambar Vihar where Sonal stayed. On searching using the video name he comes across a matrimonial given by her. She mentions the only reason she did not amrry is because of family responsibilities. Also how she took care of here grand mother and father when they were sick. Sonal describes herself a religious and one who practices yoga and other sports regularly. Mentions a book authored by her and shown to great people. Naresh continues his search inspite of no response at all. Naresh finds another profile on a matrimonial site. He is tempted to join the matrimonial site makes an attempt and then retrains himself as its not ethical on his part to join a matrimonial site and lie while entering his details there.More details emerge Sonal has a Bachelors Degree has a height of 5 3inch, age 39 years. occupation is described as social worker. The video site mentioned Sonal as a teacher. Naresh starts searching using these details. He comes across a School for mentally challenged children with coordinator's name as Sonal Sharma. Here there is social worker cum teacher. There is an e-mail address. he writes but get no response even sends an inspirational greeting. The greeting is read but no response.Naresh starts searching more matrimonial sites. Traces Sonal profiles where more details are mentioned - school, college, organization, income. occupation is given as fitness professional and details say she is a freelancer and takes her personality development classes. Naresh thinks this a big achievement and follows this profile. Photographs are updated on this almost daily basis. naresh captures the pictures and the captions. There are hints to sonal's video profile and for a few days the cell number broken into two parts is mentioned as a caption on two pictures. Great a cell number is there now! Naresh starts sending greetings as SMSes on festival occassions on the cell number hoping to get a message Who are you? But no luck. Naresh also decides to promote this profile publicly by recommending on a social networking site. Naresh suddenly finds this profile has been Is it a repeated things. Naresh had in the past tried to make people happy by doing certain things and ends up annoying and displeasing them. Feels guilty is he partially responsible for the deletion of the profile. Hope Sonal is okay. Is it because of him. Sonal's profile is found on another matrimonial site.No additional information however. Sudenly even that is not accessible to general public. You need to be a registered user to see the profile. Naresh's ethics prevent him from joining the matrimonial site but he knows the profile is there. Sonu release another video in which she shows her PC screen the three website she frequents - Video site, Matrimonial site (which is not accessible to general public) and the official website of her spritual guru. The spiritual guru has profiles on several social networking sites so Naresh decides to search for the guru and trace friends/followers, may be Sonal will be there among them....... In one of his visits to the video site he finds there is a person who posted a comment saying he is a cancer surgeon from Scandinavia and left an e-mail address. Naresh writes to the e-mail if by anychance Sonu contacted him seeing his impressive profile. he gets a reply saying I"I do not know you". Naresh replies giving some details about himself. Hoping to get a response. There too does not get any response. Naresh starts sending mails/greetings to an e-mail address hoping to be that of Sonu. Hoping against hope that there will be a reply one day.

Sumit is a middle aged man good at heart. He finds that he is unable to resist offering help even to unknown persons. Going out of his way to help with no benefit for himself is an endearing quality but also gets flak for it. One day while surfing internet he comes across a picture of a lady which appears to be a private picture. Below the picture are some are some uncharitable comments made by people. What strikes Sumit is that one of comments is that of the husband named Sri  of the lady pleading that her job is in a problem due to these pictures being put on Internet. Sumit is shocked "How could somebody be so mean as to steal these private pictures and post them on internet for people to ogle at?". He decides to do something rather than keep quite. Musters courage to join the forum where the pictures are posted. Then goes on a Internet search to look for pictures. While searching for the lady's private pictures comes across several horrible pictures but continues the search as he has commited to help. Love Thy Forever (A short Story)

It's my belief that love is not dependent on age, the amount of grey hair, appearance etc. If you love somebody they look beautiful and you stop seeing any faults in them. Whatever they do seems correct. This is the theme of this short story.

Ram was a good looking young man considered an eligible bachelor in his community. His parents wanted him to marry a beautiful girl from their community. Ram got introduced to Suparna a good looking young girl who was not from his community and was obese. Ram found Suparna to be a good person their frienship grew and they fell in love with each other and decided to marry her. Ram was hesitanet to inform his parents of his decision. One day he broached the topic with his parents. Both parents felt Suparna was not the right choice she was from another community and that they would not match as he was slim and she was obese. Ram informed his parents that both things did not matter to him and he liked Suparna as a person and would like to spend the rest of his life with her. Ram's mother came up with the arguments like "what will others say, we got you married because she earning so well - for her money" and "Has Suparna fed you with some medicine to fall for her". Ram was sure that he loved Suparna and went ahead with his plans. Ram looked for a flat on lease to stay after his marriage knowing there would be resistance. After a week into the marriage Suparna shared with Ram that she wanted to slim down. Ram said "Why do you want to slim down? I love as you are it does not matter to me at all - how fat you are, how many streaks of grey hair you have, how many rinkles you have etc.". To this Suparna replied "I always wanted to slim down - none of my siblings or parents are fat, I am so fortunate to have you, I know it does not matter to you". Suparna went on a good exercise routine and with in a few months slimmed down to normal weight. Suparna than mentioned to Ram "Lets visit your parents it will be a surprise for them". Yes it did indeed Ram's parents were happy though to see Suparna. The get together went on smoothly. Slowly over a period of time seeing Suparna's behaviour Ram's parents accepted her completely as their daughter-in-law.

If no the I am willing to support you in whatever way I can and help you find another match". Neelima replied "But I will not not have anything with me and could be a burden" Hari replied "There are no expectations from the people you love, you can come in the clothes you are wearing, will take care of everything together"

Jet Lag (A Silly Poem)

When walking around
you start to lag
You could be
having jet lag

Your forgetfullness
make tongues wag
You could be
having jet lag

when Starting the
day things sag
You could be
Having jet lag

When everybody
appears to be a nag
You could be
Having jet lag

on the road
when you go zig zag
You could be
Having jet lag

When your best
looks like a rag
you could be
having jet lag

When a donkey
looks like a stag
you could be
having jet lag

Of a night owl
you get a tag
you could be
having jet lag

When someone
on you pulls a gag
Curse them "May
you have jet lag"

Who is she? (No offence meant to ladies please)

This was the time telephones in offices were not very common. A tall and well built lady used to come to my friend's seat to discuss something in office. She used to sit on a different floor. Curious to know the reason for her frequent visits, my friend asked who is this lady and why does she come here? The answer was that she comes to ask about C++, the computer programming language. "So since we do not know her name should we refer to her as C++ ?" someone said. Another quipped "She Plus Plus would be a more suitable".

Every single day
decide on my own
having a bath
I could postpone

My daily morning
beard to shave
for another day
wish could save

Sipping tea in bed
the whole day
wishing this was
the only way

The sun covered fully
left with no space
People waiting to see
like a bride's face

How to communicate with a Printer?

The printer/photocopying machine we have in office is Japanese and manufactured in Taiwan. Inspite of everything being okay we sometimes get the message "Paper Jam". I thought we should learn Japanese or Chinese and feed it to the machine as it probably is not able to understand English when we say "please print, everything is okay".

A man to his beloved (some thoughts)

When somebody loves a person everything they do seems wonderful. There are some thoughts that come to the mind of a man who admires a lady:

Starting your day
with physical exercises
Your technique and talent
to all simply mesmerizes

Into the gardens you go
among the rows of roses
Strutting around the flowers
striking wonderful poses

 Playfully hopping around
Onto and off the rocks
Without a care in the world
gracefully moving your locks

You Carry off every dress
be it pink or blue
You look so beautiful
In each one I love you

Diamonds like you
Are precious and rare
On every single count
very well you fare

With devotion you go places
in pursuit of spirituality
Seaching Within you lies
very definition of purity

Watching the ducks play
enjoying their chatter
Being with mother nature
for you it does matter

Traveling on the metro
Walking at your liesure
Watching you go around
will always be a pleasure

Graceful as ever
wearing colourful shoes
Even among beautiful flowers
sight of you one cannot lose

 Be it in Malaysia or
be it in Philippines
Even in broad daylight
Your smile shines

Embodiment of love and purity
May you succeed in life
Traversing the journey
Without encountering strife

A modern outlook
with a spiritual mind
You are truly
one of a kind

Dressed gorgeously in red
Like an Indian bride
Confidently taking everything
into your stride

Blessed is the ground
that your feet touch
Every thing you do
there is to appreciate much

early in the morning
your day you start
serving humanity
with your golden heart

For Yoga, gyming and bicycling
you have a your passion
You are truely a blessing
to this nation

so beautiful and graceful
you look in a sari
making heads turn
also of those in a hurry

Your one smile will make
a thousand flowers bloom
spread love all around
driving away any gloom

watching you gracefully
walking under a tree
feel all troubles in life
have been set free

When at you
one would be gazing
There is only one thought
You are amazing!

You are a person with
a golden heart
in every way
a class apart

Strutting in the garden
wearing a black dress
with charm of a peacock
of a deer the grace

flowers would be wondering
when they look at you
why are we not as beautiful
from our inside too

Your Service to society
shows you care
may in life's test
very well you fare

About you all I
have this to say
You are excellent
in every way

You visit holy places
showing your devotion too
Do also pay heed to
those who worship you

Gadgets and gizmo's
in your hands come alive
The Power of your devotion
surely makes them drive

Not only a fitness freak
But also a geek
strengthening the weak
spirituality those who seek

Emerging from shadows
into the bright day
With discipline and sacrifice
showing others the way

Environment in the garden
is purified by your presence
The fragrance of flowers
distinctly has your essence

Knowing about your life
swells heart with pride
sharing spiritual knowledge
others you could guide

Expressing my thoughts
in every possible way
Hoping to get a reply
from you someday

Praying for your success
every single day
To know if it reaches you
there is no way

 You Excelled in sport
in studies did very well
had about you in school
many good stories to tell

Void of passing away
of a wonderful mother
Can be filled by love
and affection no other

To bear this grief
May your ones dear
give you the feeling
that she is very near

Even the harsh sun
will bring no harm
setting his gaze gently
admiring your charm

This home is of sincerity
and devotion a temple
where resides a
girl who is simple

The fireworks want
your name in the sky
to become like you
others could also try

For animals too you show
kindness, love and care
In every test of life
briliantly you fare

Of high moral values
parents have sowed seeds
You are a boon to them
for their good deeds

Service above self
has been your hallmark
like a light leading
the way in the dark

This world celebrated
when you were born
The dark night passed
welcoming the dawn

Bring happiness and peace
that you go to every altar
With you the rays of hope
shining like a bright star

Following diligently
the path of the Guru
showing to the world
Love is Pure and true

dark clouds in the sky
leaving parts of blue
smiling in them
to the world is you

My mind keeps
calling your name
the waves lashing
sound the same

The leaves change colour
and start to fall
you continue to be
an inspiration for all

In winters even the great
Sun ceases to be warm
Years of sacrifices have
not diminished your charm

Even in ice cold water
you look pleasing
The warmth in your heart
will keep you from freezing

Walking into the dark
the car lights blind
Always remember you
are one of a kind

In the garden while
you were running
watched your grace
You look so stunning!

Once you arrive
on the scene
even a desert
will appear green

The heart shaped tree
leaves fallen so bare
in it also see love
for nature you care

Trees without leaves
looking stark and bare
saying to the world
winter is in the air

Wonder the ducks
in the water waddling
Is this beauty come
here for modelling?

Do not notice even
the morning fog
Cannot stop seeing
you gracefully jog

Parents instilled values
to their dear  child
Cannot find a blemish
Not even mild

Let anything happen
to you will support
dedicate every resource
to help the effort

Oh fog donot take away
In whom I have faith
Watching each video
makes it worth the wait

Looking wonderful
in different dresses
Adding to the charm
your lovely tresses

Hear the mirror
in the mall
Say "You are
the prettiest of all"

You will pass
the test of fire
even if goes
down to the wire

A true nature lover
in a room confined
Waiting to be free
like a bird in the wild

words start flowing
about you I write
Looking so pure
in flowing white

The bright Sun
wonders at noon
Strolling in the park
is a beautiful moon

The sun moon and stars
together had a meeting
To decide for you
 a wonderful greeting

 "Sincerity and dedication
we are proud to see
Certainly a role model
for every woman to be"

Those who know
you are fortunate
Previous life's deeds
they unknowingly celebrate

Looking so gorgeous
making your fans swoon
A sun dressed in clouds
Looking like the moon

In the garden bloomed
a special red flower
Smiling in appreciation
 as above all you tower

Meandering in Mumbai
is a great soul
caring for well being
of world as a whole

hands pumping
iron in a gym
In prayer folded
singing a hym

Style and grace
hands of steel
with folded hands
to you I kneel

Relax on a swing
when is the norm
A way to gym
in another form

Draped in a saree
a beautiful princess
Praying each day
for her success

In shades of pinks
blues and yellows
like a beautiful
flower in meadows

Into lush gardens
moving like a deer
Poetry in motion
Wonderful as ever

Flowers bloom a day
then wither away
your deeds of gratitude
in memories will stay

Even to catch stones
people do struggle
with artistic ease
you endlessly juggle

In every endeavour
you continue to shine
Of knowledge you are
truly a gold mine

Drums in background
colours in the air
 My salute to you
 gracious and fair

Watching a Gorgeous Girl
dressed in pleasing blue
charming away all through
All will agree its true

Gliding around
on high heels
seems they ar
ejust like wheels

Wading through
on your bike
Inspiring others to
follow and like

Crafted by god
a real beauty
for all humanity
done your duty

A Queen with
heart of gold
warming those souls
that have gone cold

Like a fairy
from the sky
a real feast
for the eye

Smartly dressed in
a nice party wear
Strutting around
without a care

For your each
and every snap
wish to applaud
with a clap

to meet a beauty
the flowers stretch
as your arms
try to fetch

Watching you
is a real treat
Young at heart
skip a beat

A beautiful body
in a sound mind
A wonderful gel
keeps the bind

Looking gorgeous as
you enjoy and dine
sipping a glass
of classy wine

Strutting about house
a dream girl dreaming
May these come true as
blessings come streaming

In the road of life
thorns at every mile
cleared with courage
Keeping on face a smile

Now Looking like a model
Gracefully walking a ramp
Even in your darkest hour
You shown like a lamp

A wonderful collection
of colorful saris
each beautiful as
the design varies

Innovative exercises
on the balcony
among the plants
so many

Enjoying sun and sand
relaxing on the beach

Guru Mahima (A short Story)

Rajiv was middle aged, married with Children. There was always one thing he always desired but never had and it was a guru. He decided to find that person somehow to have more meaning in his life.He went through popular social networking sites and read people's public profiles. He also went through blogs. After spending several months researching he found a blog interesting. He felt he had found his guru. The blogs were updated at the most only once a month. After reading through the literature in the blogs he starting framing a personality of the person he thought could be his guru. It looked very unconventional. The person appeared to be a spinster who was younger to him, was a spinster. Once who was average academically and was a yoga teacher living somewhere in the same city as he was living. After a few months of reading the blogs he decided yes this is the guru that I have been searching in my life. This was a tough decision how to find this person and how to convince her? Will she accept you as a student? If not then what months of effort of finding a guru down the drain? He saw somwhere "You are never too old to set a new goal or dream a new dream". He had a dream and a goal - to find the person and convince her to accept him as a student. Rajiv went about it seriously for 2 years with no luck at all. In the blog there was a mention of Yoga classes to be launched and CDs showing the various Yog asanas. On further probing there was mention of a book store in the city where the CDs where available. The next day Rajiv was outside the shop at 8:00 am hoping to get a copy of the CDs. The shop opened at 10:00 am. Rajiv egarly asked for the CDs. No set was available! But it could be arranged and ordered for 1000 Rs. The shop keeper was surprised he was still interested. For Rajiv it was as if he was buying gold. He was told that there are Yoga classes starting and he could register. Rajiv could not believe it was it for real? Was he going to meet his guru finally? Rajiv enquired with the shop keeper if he could meet the teacher. The shopkeeper called someone on the phone and said the person was coming. Great! Rajiv decided to stayput till the person came. Time passed slowly he enquired at regular intervals about the Yoga teacher and each time the bookseller called someone and told him to wait, it was evening and getting dark. Rajiv did not eat anything and only had water waiting patiently outside the bookshop taking no chances of missing his guru. At 7:00 pm Rajiv informed the bookseller he had waited the whole day and was informed to wait another 30 minutes. To his word finally from the shadows emerged a very fit middle aged lady. She went into the bookshop and came out to meet Rajiv, she said "I am Mahima Sharma a yoga instructor do you have a question?" Rajiv said "Please consider me as your student I would be happy to learn yoga from you, if you do not find me fit I will work on it and improve till you approve". To this Mahima replied "The patience that you have shown by waiting for me from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm speaks for itself, I feel if you can do this then you do not need Yoga at all, are you really sure?" Rajiv replied "Yes, I request you to give me an opportunity to touch your feet and take blessings right now"

Do Not Honk (A Poem)

On the road
be like a monk
without reason
do not honk

At those you honk
have a heart
to be patient
make a start

When you honk
away to De-Stress
Remember you cause
others Distress

By resisting to
honk aloud
make yourself
feel proud

How to earn Punya

hear "Hari" and "Krishna" and add Punya to your credit. If both Hari and Krishna continue to work together they continue to earn Punya without even knowing about it!

What moves the lift up and down?

My guess is that its the ceiling fan doubling as a propeller; its the only moving thing you see, is it not?

A Poem dedicated to Ravi Kalra a great Samaritan

The word Ravi means the sun but Ravi Kalra is a star in his own right.

A Star bringing
a ray of hope
at end of tunnel
that have nope

Bring to those forgotten
dignity, joy and cheer
scompassionately wiping
their sadness and tears

threading a path
only brave will dare
selflessly providing
needy the care

We can say
clear and loud
Take us forward
we are proud

Idea for retaining employees

An Amul advertisement shows a person at the airport terminal is waiting for a flight abroad. He reminences the days when he had different Amul products. Then decides not to go abroad. So companies should take a cue from this and generously offer Amul products to their employees so like the Amul add the day they decide to leave they will be reminded of the Amul products they ate given by the company and then decide to stay back.

Business trip summary

My friend in office asked me "How was your business trip?"
I replied "It was Chilly in Chile, was Bebas in Vegas then a Maverick in Frederick and finally became Good in Gudgaon"

Welcome.... really?

On my recent visit to a government school as a volunteer for an NGO I was surprised to see white rangoli powder showing the way into the school. At the gate there was wonderful rangoli. What a welcome! Wow I thought. When we entered the gate a man waved towards us. I was over whelmed thinking he was calling us to receive a bouque of flowers. It soon dawned as I went further that the man was waving at somebody else. The rangoli at the gate and decoration was not to welcome us but was for a senior bank official who had come visiting the school!

Question and answer

To check knowledge about features of a computer based application I asked candidates being interviewed: How did you use filters to optimise your work? Some answered: It is a mesh which can trap particles!

Efficiency?

An application was made to a government agency. A reply to the application was made by the agency apparently on the same date as the application was submitted. One would think the agency acted in a prompt way. The fact is that the reply was in the form of a letter which was never sent to the applicant and kept in a file. The letter was waiting to be collected by the applicant coming personally to enquire about the progress.

Official v/s Actual

At the time of joining a company there should be a provision to give your official birth date and actual birth date. This will ensure that you will be wished on the right day.

Pledge

In school we used to recite the Indian Pledge, much of if it was good. We however had a reservation in the sentence "All Indians are my brothers and sisters". We felt it should be altered as "All Indians are my brothers and your sisters".

CO2 In A Cylinder Please....

There was an African student in my class who could not understand English properly. He used to not attempt some "Compulsory" questions in the question paper as he did not understand these terms used by Mumbai University. Once his guide told him to get a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) cylinder for his research work. Promptly the student went to the adjacent laboratory with a measuring cylinder and told a student to put CO2 in it. When questioned he informed that his guide has asked him to get CO2 in a cylinder!

Indian Parlianment

Indian palianmentarians do not need any fire drill as they get enough practice in their walkouts

Government Service Centers

Government Service Centers could be named as "Customer Don't Care Centers" giving a true picture to the general public who go there expecting a service. The long hours spent there waiting for things to move are fruitful in knowing about politics which even the pundits are not aware of and so the experience ends up to be more interesting than a movie theater.

Positive Thinking

We had just moved into a rented accommodation, the agent had behaved badly, the house was dirty- many things had to be done to get in shape. My wife said "What is good about this house - there are so many problems?" I said "We can see the sunrise from our bedroom window".

First Thing's First

Amit joined an engineering company in Delhi as an engineer immediately after graduation. Within a few months he was sent on a long term duration to a far away country to work in an office of the same company there.
After joining he was surprised at the laws in the country. May be this was the reason he was told to go perhaps the offer was rejected by others. Amit always had a positive attitude and felt there was some good reason he was sent here. Among other things he found there were no women employees in the company which was strange. He had grown up seeing a strong mother and sister. Amit's community always had girls excelling boys in every field. Later he found the country did not allow woment to work in offices like his.
One day Amit's boss called him for a meeting. He was informed that he had to coach a person on using a computer based application he was expert at. The matter was confidential. He would get instructions in his mail which he had to follow. Nobody should know what he is doing. Amit's boss also informed him that the person who would communicate is not the person who is being trained. An anonymous e-mail will be used, Amit will not be allowed to speak to either the person communicating nor the trainee. Next day Amit received and e-mail from an address named "trncoord". Amit sent training material and examples. The training proceeded at a snails pace. Amit patiently went about answering questions. One day Amit received a drawing done by the trainee. He gave is comments and suggestion for improvement. Amit would scan every inch of the drawing for comments. One day as Amit was scanning a drawing he found in smaller font an gmail e-mail address with username "trncoord", next to it was an instruction. "send e-mail on this e-mail using your personal e-mail address". External mail was not available in office. Amit had a gmail account so he went home and sent a mail. Amit followed what was told to him without telling anybody. Amit started getting requests to send his picture and inform in detail his qualifications, experience, family, income, religion etc. Amit wrote back in detail everything honestly. Months went by like this. Amit had shared significant details about himself. One day the mail from gmail account said "I want to visit India as a tourist can you help me go to India?" "Yes" replied Amit. In the next mail Amit was asked "Can you book my ticket?I will pay you back later" Amit replied Yes. India had a system of visa on arrival but one had to register online. Amit informed that you had to register online first for visa which will be given on arrival. In the next mail Amit got the message "I will meet you at Dubai airport so book my ticket from Dubai to New Delhi along with you, I will say black pens don't leak they bleak to identify myself" Amit replied "OK". Soon he got the registration for visa and details for booking a ticket. He was wondering what he was doing. He was in a far away country booking a ticket from Dubai to New Delhi for an unknown person. As scheduled he booked the ticket and also got his journey routed through Dubai. Amit anxiously waited for his flight to New Delhi at Dubai airport. A lady in a veil walked up to him and said "Black pens don't leak they bleak" and then added "you can call me Ana". Amit enquired "Where are your belongings?" "Ana" replied "I will receive them later, lets checkin I have my ticket printed and passport".
Amit checked in and he and the lady got adjacent seats. On reaching New Delhi Amit led the lady through customs. At the taxi stand Amit politely asked Ana "Where do you want to go?" Ana replied "Where ever you take me!". Amit lived with his parents so took Ana there. Amit made provision for Ana to stay in one bedroom in his parent's modest apartment. After she took sufficient rest after a tiring journey. Amit enquired with Ana "please narate to me and my parents your story". Ana replied "first I want to speak with you, then later I will speak with your parents".
Ana narrated her story: "I am a daughter of a very rich person. You know women are not allowed to work in our country but I was interested in working and learning so requested my father to give me a chance. My father is a major share holder of your company's Joint Venture in my country so he arranged for my training there. My brother was the one who coordinated the training. He used to ensure I am unable to contact you in anyway. In one of the documents the e-mail ID used by him was  mentioned. I knew that you sincerely checked every inch of the drawings I sent. My brother stopped checking my drawings before sending to you so I decided to use my drawing to inform you my personal e-mail for communicating with you. I depended on my lady friend to help me write the mails for create ID etc. I had gone through many profiles and selected your profile to train me. Your Name and gender was not available only experience and other details were available. I felt I made the right choice. I was impressed by your sincerity and trust it was completely selfless. My father was looking for a suitable match there was a proposal. I decided I should do something fast. The information provided by you in such detail convinced me that you can help me get away. I convinced my father that I should be at the Dubai shopping festival to buy dresses to impress the proposed groom for me. He arranged for my brother and a security person to keep 24 hours watch on me to accompany me there to keep watch on me. I was able to slip out of the hotel to take cab to reach the airport. I gave a piece of jewelry to the cab driver. I could identify you because you sent your picture. I got to see your picture only at Dubai it was delivered at my hotel. Nobody has been so kind to me as you have been, if you accept I would like to spend the rest of my life with you"
Amit was speechless "Ana you took such a big risk putting so much faith in me" he continued "Please do not decide anything in haste, you have not had any chance at choosing your suitor. There will be countless men who will be too happy to marry you even in your present situation. I will take you to marriage bureaus to check profiles and meet possible suitors. Your tourist visa can be upto 6 months. I will plan for your searching for a suitable suitor for 4 months. If you find somebody suitable I take the responsibility to get you married before the 6 months deadline gets over also if nobody is suitable so you can go back tour country. Since you are welcome to stay with us you we can evaluate each other in detail there is nothing better than that to evaluate."
Ana agreed to this suggestion and the next 4 months were spent at studying profiles at marraige bureaus and intercations with possible suitors. During the course of the 4 months Amit liked what he saw of Ana even his parents started liking Ana. Amit started thinking whether in trying to be honest he had damaged his own chances. "What if Ana does find a suitor?".
At the end of 4 months Amit waited with baited breath the day arrived when Ana was to inform her decision to him. When asked Ana said "Amit as advised by you I made a sincere effort but could not find a suitor" Amit thought in his mind "It means even I have not qualified then". Amit asked "So Ana you want to go back now"
Ana said "Please let me complete I did not find a suitable suitor in the marriage bureaus but I found one at home here my first choice - you!" Amit informed "I and my parents have accepted you in every way"
