Dancing to your heart's tune (A short story)

Ramesh was a technician in a film studio in Mumbai in 1970. He stayed with his mother in a small apartment, making his living by giving services at the film studio. Beena was a struggling actress who came to the studio for work. She had come seeking work from another city. With working in films not considered a good profession by many Beena had a hard time getting accomodation. Beena would talk to Ramesh for work related issues in the film studio. One day seeing Beena crying Ramesh asked what her problem was. Beena's landlord had told her to leave she had no where to go. Ramesh told Beena "if you trust me then come with me. I live with my mother. Our apartment is small just 2 rooms you can sleep with my mother in the bedroom. I sleep in the drawing room". Beena accepted the offer. Ramesh's mother was a kind lady. Understanding the problem accomodated Beena. Beena was dancer dancing on the sets had her legs in pain. Ramesh pressed her legs to rel eave her of her pain. Beena was touched with this. Beena had big dreams to fulfill. Soon she found alternate accomodation and moved out. Ramesh had set his heart on Beena but she had set her targets high. Beena slowly became more famous but remained a dancer. She got roles as a vamp in few films. Ramesh watched her become famous. He decided not to marry. In a few years his mother died and he was alone. Beena married a famous film personality's son. It did not work out and soon divorced. Ramesh maintained contact with Beena always helping her when she required it. She knew he genuinely loved her. In 1990 Beena's offers dried up. She was not young any more. Feeling sick one day and nobody to care she came to Ramesh for help. Ramesh took her to a doctor and nursed till she was ok. Finally the day came when Beena was fully fit. Beena was touched by Ramesh's dedication to her. Ramesh told her that he would be happy she stayed longer and if she could consider him as a life partner. Been informed that she will reply and left for her house. Beena thought for many days , there was no way she would get any comfort staying with Ramesh but will get love and affection. Finally she decided to give her heart the benefit and went back to Ramesh.
