God's dilema (A short story)

God once decided to take a tour of India. God took the form of an old man so that he would be welcome anywhere. As god went to North of India he used to hear, "These south Indians are dark in colour, they have curly hair, they use coconut oil and we call all of them madrasis". We are very much different than them and do not understand them. When god toured the south he heard "These North indians use sarso oil and wheat, we have better educational institutions in south so are the brains of the country, we call all of them Bhaiya's". God wondered "scant respect for each other!" God decided let me make an overnight change. He swapped the people from North and South. So the peole in North found themselves in the South and those in the North found themselves in the South. Suddenly people found their environment has changed and started to adjust. Several generations passed. In the mean time slowly as the people adopted to their surroundings their tastes changed, their skin colour changed to suit the climate etc. God made another tour to see the difference. To his surprise when he went to the North people said:  to the form of an old man so that he would be welcome anywhere. As god went to North of India he used to hear, "These south Indians are dark in colour, they have curly hair, they use coconut oil and we call all of them madrasis". When God went to the South people said "These North indians use sarso oil and wheat, we have better educational institutions in south so are the brains of the country, we call all of them Bhaiya's". God stood for a moment and realised that idea of swapping people in North and South did not work. People are shaped by the region they stay in.
