Vineet the brave (A short story)

Vineet who had taken a Paying guest accomodation with the Sharma family in Deep Vihar society. One day he noticed that in the opposite flat there was a man passing grocery through a grill door which seemed to be locked. There was a young women receiving the grocery at the other end. He felt that there was something wrong but could not figure it out. When he mentioned this to his friend who used to stay with the Sharma's earlier he told him to stay away from the lady and the man without explaining anything. Strangely Vineet realised one day as he was returning late at night that there was a cc tv camera pointing to the lady's door, somebody had shown up to do maintenance of the camera. One day as he entered to his surprise the lady rushed in and the doors closed. The lady introduced herself as Sumi and requested Vineet to give his card and e-mail. Vineet had his business card with his personal id written on the back side which he passed on. As the lift doors opened there was a man waiting down he looked sternly at Sumi and said "Everytime you forget something, Why don't you check your things when you come down?". The next day when I opened my personal mail I saw a message from Sumi saying she needed help and mentioned if I could log into chat on internet at 1:00 am. I connected that day and received a message from Sumi. During the chat Vineet Sumi was in custody of Samsher an Army man who had kept her almost like a captive. Allowed her to come out only when he came visiting once in 3 months. Everybody thought he was he husband but he was not. She wanted to escape some how. It was a dangerous situation if, she was found talking to anybody that person would be threatened with dire consequences. Vineet was a brave boy and did not know fear decided he is going to help Sumi. He made a plan. Vineet found that cars that came in from 2:00 am to 4:00 am were not tracked and recorded. So he decided to take Sumi away at 3:00 am. Vineet requested his friend to send a car with a false number plate at 3:00 one day. Told Sumi to come out at 3:00 am. As planned the car came into Deep Vihar without being noticed at 3:00 am, Vineet and Sumi stepped out and got into the car. Vineet had arranged for a Burkha for Sumi. Once in the car he told her to put in on quickly. They drove out straight to the railway station. Vineet handed tickets to Mumbai to Sumi and also a cell phone to be in touch. He also gave contact details of his friend who would come at the station to pick her up. Sumi boarded the train and thanked Vineet profusely. The train started and Sumi was off to Mumbai to start a new life!
