The Rains (A Poem)

The rain pours heavily

cooling the place at night

The little streams of water

are a very pleasant sight

I sit near the window
the atmosphere is so peaceful
I am just a spectator
Admiring nature so wonderful
The climate is cool
As from the window I peep
The rain sings a lullaby
tempting me to sleep
It seems the hiding stars
on the trees have appeared
As the trees shine as if
stars on them were sprinkled
I pity the poor sun
for the sky's never clear
may be among the rain drops
there are his many a tear
