We do not appreciate our systems that much. I remember when I was in Toyo Engineering in Mumbai engineers used to be sent to Japan for a 2 year deputation. One of them after returning from Japan decided to send his boss a card for New Year through snail mail (those days there was no e-mail). He realised after a month or so the card came promptly back to him! Surprised he looked at the card, he realised that he had written everything but had forgotten the name of the company hence the card came back. If it was India the postman would go and enquire if the person whose name was on the envelope was available in the building. By the way Toyo's office in Japan was the only building at the address mentioned on the envelope so there was no scope for confusion.
