One day after Shyam came back from office his wife Shaymalee told him that his sister Sharmila decided to walk out on her husband Sujeet. Sharmila was now staying in Shyam's parents house. Shyam was a resident of Delhi while Sharmila was in Mumbai. It came as a big shock to Shyam and he started suffering from stomach aches and headaches feeling helpless. Sujeet was always rude to Sharmila and abused and blamed his parents for all his problems. Shyam and Shyamlee began their support by telephone and also inviting Sharmila over to stay. Ram an uncle of Sujeet became the only person who could talk to both Sharmila and Sujeet. Ram wanted to be good to both so could not do much. In the meetings arranged between Sharmila and Sujeet, Sujeet was aggressive and tried his old tricks of threatening Sharmila. Shyam felt that counselling would be the best way to resolve the marital issues and took Sharmila to a doctor. The doctor felt that counselling would be effective if both Sharmila and Sujeet came together. Sujeet refused flatly to any counselling.Shyam and Shyamalee kept up their support on for months. One day they got a call from Sharmila saying Sujeet told her "come back home and lets talk" and that she had agreed and was going back! Sharmila was going back to Sujeet who had not changed a bit and had made almost no effort to convince her that he will change. Shyam could not understand the logic but could not do anything as it was Sharmila's decision, he remembered the song he could sing to Sharmila his dear sister "Koi Jab Tumhara Hriday Tod De Tadap Ta Hua Jab Koi Chhod De, Tab Tum Mere Paas Aana Priye Mera Dar Khula Hai Khula Hi Rahega Thumhare Liye". So "Bina Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Gaye" (Those without a heart got the bride)
