More than a pinch of salt

In an eating competing in my college mess the person being challenged ate the number of roti's he was challenged to eat. Once done he said to the challenger "Now give me my reward". He was promptly told by the challenger "I see that salt which was served in the plate its still there". The person being challenged without batting an eye lid picked up the salt and ate it!
