They Punished Themselves (A poem for kids)

As a kid I was small

feeble and weakest of all

bullied by boys other

at home no one to bother

no good friend who would defend
no shoulder to cry
what could do I
the problem was only mine
nobody to intervene
I could not
punish the lot
that bullied me
that tormented me
It was they themselves
who punished themselves
failing in their degree course
hardest punishment off course
so I am content
deserved they punishment
